Biographical history

Charles E. Ferrin was born in 1824 to Micah Ela Ferrin (1787-1863) and Lucinda Ferrin (née Conant; 1796-1880). He never married. He died in 1870.

Scope and content

The file contains primary source information on Charles E. Ferrin from 1845 to 1848. It consists of letters written by Charles to his brother, Martin C. Ferrin and "sister" (presumably his sister-in-law, Sarah Mead Ferrin).

Some of the letters are torn, stained, and have many creases due to having been folded over a long period of time.
