Carrie E. Ferrin was born in 1860 to Ebenezer Ferrin (1832-1867) and Ellen Eliza Ferrin (née Alton; 1836-1929). She had three siblings: James Otis Ferrin (1851-1930), Orrin or Ora Alton Ferrin (1864-1943) and Ebenezer Ervin Ferrin (1867-1872). She married James E. Young (1859-1933) in 1888 and together, they had two daughters: Alsey M. Young (1895-1917) and Marjorie Louise Young (1897-1991). Carrie died in 1949.
