Item is an interview of Edward "Teddy" Green about his experience working at the Eustis copper mines by W. Gillies Ross in October 1965. Included in the interview are the subjects of mining accidents, working conditions, mining methods, use of communication in the mines, entertainment and leisure, WWI and marriage, and Black people from North Carolina working in the mines.

Ross, W. Gillies (1931-2019)The series contains primary source information on research conducted by Gil Ross around 1990 about covered bridges in the Eastern Townships, as well as elsewhere in Canada and the United States. It consists mainly of photocopied newspaper clippings, reproductions of textual reference materials about covered bridges, reproductions of simple maps of the Eastern Townships, as well as projector transparencies, notes, and tables recording the locations and features of Eastern Townships covered bridges. It also contains a copy of a letter from Barbara Verity addressed to Gil Ross regarding a film that she made in 1974 about covered bridges.
The item is an audio recording of an interview of C. William Crease by W. Gillies Ross on 6 November 1965 about Mr. Crease's time as a miner at the Eustis copper mine. Among the topics covered were the number of employees, mining accidents, working conditions, mining technologies, sports teams, the harvest trains, pollution, the changing landscape around the mining villages, Capelton mine, Albert Mines, and Eustis mine.

The series contains primary sources going from 1883 to 2005, of corespondance between Dr. Ross and people he interviwed, hel[ped him in his researches, or even asked for help in theirs. Also included a letter of Vaclav Smil,CM, now a prolific environmentalist , before he moved to Canada.
The series contains primary sources concerning the translation of Dr.Ross book in 1995. It consist of a flyers and some correspondence about funding the translation.
