Bishop's University. Pennant. [194-]

Pennant. "Bishop's": felt, purple and crest having belonged to Kenneth John Harwood, B.A. Math 1947. Harwood came to Bishop's in 1939. He enlisted as Radar Mechanic in 1941 and returned to Bishop's in 1945 with his wife Joan. Ken and Joan had a baby boy while at Bishop's and was the first to be baptized at St. Mark's Chapel.

Blankets

Message on masking tape which arrived with the accession reads: “woven from the sheep that grazed on the land where Bishop’s University now stands” (on the brown blanket). The accompanying blue blanket is assumed to have the same or similar provenance. The donor's husband Thomas Farnsworth’s father was Raymond Harrington Farnsworth. His parents were Benjamin Farnsworth and Ella French. They lived in the Cookshire area; Ella lived in Quebec City with Raymond and his wife Constance Ford for several years after her husband died. In 1979 Raymond and Constance moved here to Portneuf to her Ford family home Edale Place.
