The fonds contains source material on the work and social life of Arthur Virgin from 1914 to 1967. It is also of value as a source of information on Eastern Townshippers who fought in World War I and 117th Battalion. Among the correspondence are postcards from Russell Chapman, Howard Honeyman, and W. Percy Adams who served during WWI. The fonds is comprised of the following series: Diaries (1932-1967), Correspondence ([1913?]-[1921?]), Newspapers and Press Clippings ([191-?]-[192-?]), Photographs and Postcards ([191-?]-195-?]), and Miscellaneous Documents ([1912?]-1965?]).
