Series contains primary source material on the life and service of Harry Roland Cleveland Jr. It consists of a testimonial in support of his application for the Royal Flying Corps, certificates of appointment, Cleveland Jr's soldier diary describing his everyday life in the Royal Flying Corps before he left for Europe and then when he was on active duty in Europe during World War I, Royal Flying Corps transfer and training cards, certificates of military qualification, correspondence and a Roster of War Birds from the RFC - RNAS 1958 Anniversary Reunion.

The fonds contains source material on the Cleveland family, mainly Harry Roland Cleveland Sr. and Harry Roland Cleveland Jr.'s involvement in the First and Second World Wars. It consists of photographs from both Cleveland Sr. and Jr.’s time at war, Cleveland Sr.’s composite graduation photograph from McGill University, a diary belonging to Cleveland Jr. describing his everyday life in the Royal Flying Corps before he left for Europe and then when he was on active duty in Europe during World War I, certificates of appointments, discharge papers, correspondence, research notes and a certificate of appointment given to Nelson Cleveland, the first Mayor of Cleveland township. The fonds is comprised of the following series: Nelson Cleveland (1847), Harry Roland Cleveland Sr. (1916-1920), Harry Roland Cleveland Jr. (1917-1958) and Research Notes (1986).
