Collection presents information on business and commerce in the Coaticook area from 1851 to 1934. It consists of photocopies of invoices and newspaper clippings.

The collection presents the history of people who made the news and of events underlined between 1950 and 2017 in Coaticook and its region through its local weekly newpaper Le Progrès de Coaticook. It consists of original newspapers and some reproductions, photographs, contact-sheets, and negatives of the newspaper. The collection is composed of the following series : Newspapers, Photos, Contact-sheets, and Negatives.

Collection presents some of the commercial history of Coaticook and St-Edwidge-de-Clifton from 1890 to 1982. It consists of a plan for the complexe polyvalent (Albert l’Heureux and Mgr Durand schools) dated 1968 and photographs showing the following:

Collection largely pertains to the Collège du Sacré-Coeur in Coaticook and related organizations from 1891 to 1968. It consists primarly of photographs, programmes, and minutes. The collection is composed of the following series: Zouaves pontificaux; L’Amicale du Sacré-Cœur of Coaticook; Académie commerciale, Collège du Sacré-Cœur, Coaticook; Community life; and Religious life.

Collection presents information on the life, particularly religious life, of Gilles Baril, priest, in Coaticook and areas in Sherbrooke and East Angus, from about the 1980s to 2005. It consists of a biography, titled “Une vie arc-en-ciel”, on the first part of Gilles Baril’s personal and religious life and a number of musical recordings used in the course of church activities and services.

The collection contains source material on travel in the Province of Quebec. It consists of a train ticket from Marieville to Drummondville and Canadian Pacific Railway travel brochures in Quebec featuring the Laurentian Mountain District, Fishing and Shooting and Transatlantic Services, and a scrapbook. The compiler of the scrapbook is unknown and consists of theatre programmes, newspaper and magazine clippings, greeting cards, and two water colours, largely from Europe. It also includes references to a Gottinger Corps as well as documents pertaining to the death of Bishop Williams. The collection is comprised of the following series: Train Ticket ([188-?]), Travel Brochures ([191-?] -[195-?]), and Scrapbook (1876-1901).

Collection presents a political timeline of the mayors of the Municipality of Barford from 1860 to 1991. It consists of name plaques with dates of mayoral terms from 1860 to 1900, name plaques and photographs from 1900 to 1991, as well as a list of the mayors.

The collection contains source material on the history of the Asbestos region and on the development of the asbestos industry in the 19th and 20th centuries; it is also a source of information on the Johns-Manville Corporation, the life of William G. Clark, and includes an architectural sketch of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Asbestos from 1945. Among the materials are memoirs written by William G. Clark on his life and the town of Asbestos. The collection is comprised of the following series: Le Citoyen Historical Sections (1971-1980), Periodicals (The Asbestos Producer and Johns-Manville News Pictorial) (1948-1976), Photographs ([1897?]-1981), Miscellaneous Documents (1940-1971), and William G. Clark ([197-?]-2003).

The collection contains primary and secondary source information on the creative life of Helen M. (née Webster) Emery, the community of Hatley (village), and organizations in the area from 1888 to 1959. It consists of scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings, largely pertaining to the Hatley village area, as well as original poetry by Helen M. Emery. The scrapbooks were compiled by Helen M. Emery and continued by her daughter, Sadie (née Emery) Webster, following her death in 1923.

Collection contains genealogical information on families in Coaticook from about the 1940s to 2006. It consists largely of handwritten notes and newspaper clippings. The collection is composed of the following files: Vincent family, Gendron family, Dionne family, Lebarré dit Genest and Beaulne families, and history.

Collection contains information on the members of Syndicat Foyer Idéal from 1951 to 1964, two lot plans along Verret Street from 1960, and two architectural plans for 251 Thompson Street in Coaticook from the 1950s. It consists of the following files: Syndicat Foyer Idéal and Plans.

Collection presents information on St-Herménégilde from 1892 to 1950. It consists of visitor registers for the No. 9 school in the St-Herménégilde school board from 1892 to 1906; a handwritten history of the parish in St-Herménégilde on the occaison of its 75th anniversary in 1950; and newspaper clippings on Joseph Otis, Curé A. Tremblay, the marriage of M.A. Coulombe et Cora Tremblay, and rum baron Pierre St. Pierre. The school visitor registers are also a source informaton on the students attending the school, subjects taught, and schedules.

Collection illustrates business and buildings in Coaticook and Hereford from about the 1910s to 1973. It consists of photographs and postcard photographs of employees of Niedner Inc., including Bill Niedner, George Laming, Cora Allard, and Mrs. Hamilton; fires in Coaticook in 1922 and 1949; and the Hotel de Ville and Academy in Coaticook and the Half Way Hotel in Hereford.

Collection consists of unidentified portrait photographs by Coaticook photographers, possibly showing members of the Lavigueur family of St-Malo.

Collection reflects some of the industries of Coaticook from 1938 to 1993. It consists of photographs of the interiors of Belding-Corticelli, the Canadian Celanese, and Waterville TG, as well as what appear to be groups of employees.

Collection primarily contains information on the businesses and families of Barnston and Coaticook from 1816 to 1899. It consists of receipts, invoices, correspondence, historical research, an account ledger, land deeds, a marriage contract, a permit, and birthday books.

Collection illustrates community life in Coaticook from the 1910s to 1964. It consists of photographs of children, youth, families, an automobile accident, buildings, sports activities, industries, and religious events (some are identified but the majority are unidentified).

Collection illustrates some of the activities of Dr. Raoul Laurence during his time as mayor from 1950 to 1953. It consists of photographs including Raoul Laurence performing various mayoral duties, and includes, among others, a banquet hosted by the Emerald Guild of Coaticook, a retirement party for J.-W. Thériault, the launch of the Lions Club's White Cane campaign, and a special train tour by the Canadian National.

Collection contains information on the social history of Coaticook from 1923 to 1937. It consists of photographs, including photos of the employees of D.S. Bachand, a parade float by the Cercle Lacordaire Association Anti-acoolique, the Caron et Fils hockey team, a few women's religious groups, the 50th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Couillard, and a photograph of Henri Carbonneau and Yvette D'Auteuil.

Collection contains information on the Hugron family and Stephen Burroughs of Coaticook and Stanstead from the early 1900s to 2009. It is also a source of information on the layout of the town of Coaticook in 1960 and on views of Coaticook in 2009. It consists primarily of historical write-ups and articles, photographs of Coaticook, and an insurance plan. The collection is composed of the following files: Hugron family, Stephen Burroughs, Insurance Plan for the Town of Coaticook, and Photographs.

Collection contains a photograph of the first Festival du lait de Coaticook in 1978 and a business card for Dixville Taxi Omer Goyette.

Collection presents history on the areas of Barnston, Barnston-Ouest, Saint-Malo, and Kingscroft with from 1863 (reproduction) to 2008. It consists primarily of lists of property owners and mayors, histories, correspondence, and maps. The collection is composed of the following files: Histories of Barnston-Ouest, Barnston-Ouest details, History of Barnston, Histories of Stanstead County parishes, History of St-Malo, Parish of St-Wilfrid-de-Kingscroft, and Maps.

Collection illustrates some of the organizations in Coaticook from around the 1950s. It consists of photographs showing an unidentified group at the Meadon baseball stadium, an initiation for the Knights of Columbus (Chevaliers de Colomb), and of the Amicale à Sacré-Coeur de Coaticook.

Collection presents information on the production activities of the Penman's factory in Coaticook from 1894 to 1900. It consists of an inventory ledger, which was probably used to record the quantity of cotton thread and dye colours used in production. The ledger is also a source of information on the finances of Lucien and Magella Beaulieu from 1961 to 1962.

Collection presents parade floats from the St-Jean-Baptiste Day parade in Coaticook from 1952 to 1953. It consists of reproduced photographs.

Collection reflects the activities of the Drolet, Fortin, and Roy families primarily in the Coaticook area from about the 1890s to 1939. It consists of portrait photographs and snapshots. The fonds is primarily a source of information on the early life of Antoinette Drolet but also contains information on relatives of the Drolet family.
