The diary deals mainly with the settlement of the Baxter family in the region of Frampton and with the agricultural work of Dudley Baxter including information on forest clearing, agriculture, breeding, fishing, wheat winnowing, and sales and purchases.

It consists of calendars for R.B Reed & Sons of North Hatley, Missiquoi and Rouville Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Freleighsburg (which features a view of the Experimental Farm in Lennoxville), A.H Ham and Stanstead County Women's Institutes.
