The item is a photograph of the covered bridge found along the road between Cookshire and East Angus. The covered bridge was built in 1834 and opened for use in 1835. Today it is used only as an historical sight.

The item is a photograph of a house in Bulwer owned by Edward John Parker (1838-1935). Edward's son Rutherford (Rufus) Benjamin Hayes Parker (1879-1935) owned it after him. Curtis Ross purchased the house in 1947 and continued to live there for several years. The house was located next to the blacksmith shop west of the railroad tracks on the south side of the road going through Bulwer.
