The series consists of material on the people and places from Compton County. Landscpapes/Streetscapes

This sub-series consists of material on landscapes and streetscapes in Compton County. It contains the following files: East Clifton [19--], Sawyerville [194-?], Cookshire [196-?], Flanders [1916]. The sub-series includes four photographs, and one textual record.

Covered bridge

The item is a photograph of the covered bridge found along the road between Cookshire and East Angus. The covered bridge was built in 1834 and opened for use in 1835. Today it is used only as an historical sight.

County Building

The item is a postcard of the County Building in Cookshire (which has since been destroyed by fire) with many people and several cars gathered in front of it for a Peace Celebration on November 8th, 1918.

Snow plow

The item is a photocopy of a photograph of a snow plow (army truck) that was driven by George Buck in the mid 1940's.
