The file contains information on the Victoria Rifles of Canada, also known as the 24th Battalion C.E.F. It consists of reproductions of histories by Lt-Col G.R. Robertson, A.S. McCormick, R.C. Vaughan (1784 [photocopied]-[1965?]), Gershom Vaughan ([197-?]), Josephus Vaughan (1778 [photocopied]-1988), Lynds S. Vaughan (1865 [photocopied]-[198-?]), Reuben H. Vaughan (1839-[198-?]), and Benjamin Vaughan (1778[photocopied]-1853[photocopied]).

The sub-series contains information on the Van Vliet family in Lacolle from 1863 to 1993. It consists of transcriptions of Traver Van Vliet’s diary (including one by Elizabeth Toop), family trees, the Van Vliet family crest, documents pertaining to a Van Vliet family reunion and reproductions of photographs including members of the Van Vliet family.

The sub-series contains information on the Derick family in the United States from 1812 to 1961. It consists of copies a last will and testament of Charles Derick, a land transaction between David Allen and Charles Derick, and newspaper articles on the Derick farm in Brunswick, New York.

The sub-series contains primary source material on photographs of unidentified people. The majority of the photographs are portrait photographs of men, women, and children, but includes some view in an apple orchard with a couple apple picking, people on an unidentified beach, a group at a picnic, men in a rowboat, a child with a teddy bear, and a man and young girl in horse and wagon.

The sub-series contains information on the Trepannier family from 1815 to 1850. It consists of land transactions.
