Thomas, Daniel Sr.The fonds contains source material on Hiram Davis's activities as a businessman in the townships of Barnston and Hatley from 1850 to 1893. It also provides information on the management of his estate. By consulting the deeds for his properties, his insurance policies, his leases, and the receipts for his land-tax payments, researchers can get a good idea of the value of his holdings. The mortgages, promissory notes, and other financial documents testify to the importance of financial activities in his life. The inheritance documents provide a record of the management of his first wife's inheritance, his own, and that of his second wife, who died in 1895. The only information the fonds contains on his mayorship consists of a confirmation that he served as Mayor of Barnston. Davis, Hiram, 1809 or 1810-1893The fonds contains source material on the amicable relationship which existed between Frank Grundy and James McConnell, an American pilot during the First World War in France. It consists of two letters from James McConnell addressed to Frank Grundy shortly before McConnell's death ([1916?], 1917), a letter from Edmund I.C. Genet to Frank Grundy recounting the events preceding McConnell's death (1917), a transcription of an excerpt of this final publication under the title "La mort de Mac Connell (sic)" ([1917?]), two newspaper clippings in memory of James McConnell (1929, [193-?]), a postcard with an illustration of "la tombe d'un Aviateur Américain (Sergent Pilote) Sam Mac Connelle (sic)" [...] ([193-?]), and a photograph of James McConnell ([1916?]).

It consists of a public notice from the office of the Adjutant General of Militia signed by A. Gugy (1845), a letter from His Excellence, the Government Administrator addressed to Lieutenant Colonel De Salaberry and signed by the Adjutant General of Militia, A. Gugy (1845), a diatribe against Lieutenant Colonel Gugy ([after 1841)]) and a lampoon signed by A. Gugy ([187-]).
Gugy, Augustus, 1796-1876The fonds consists of information on the history of the descendants of Joseph Haddock, from the family's settlement in Ireland in the 19th century to the departure of the last Haddocks from Kingsey Falls in 1907. It provides information on the family's Atlantic crossing, their settlement in Kingsey Falls, their genealogy, and what happened to some members of the family who emigrated to other parts of Canada and to the United States. It consists of one item, which reconstructs the Haddock family's history.

It consists of a four-volume unpublished study entitled Celts of Compton County; eight interviews with descendants of Scots settlers; a map showing the 'Pionneer Scotch Settlements in Compton County'; and a list of materials deposited with the Compton County Historical Museum Society by the Celtic Research Group.
