Sowen?] to Robinson Oughtred, Esq. regarding a property dispute concerning lot 6, range 11 in Barnston. It also consists of a complaint filed by William Locker Felton against Alexander Edson, Junior, for non-payment of a mortgage on the north quarter of lot 3, range 2 and the north half of lot 1, range 2 in Barnston, as well as a court summons for the same case. It also consists of a mortgage (1874) and mortgage and obligation (1876) by John Hunter, William Hunter, and Ann Lane Walker to Ernest Maloney for the north half of lot 10, range 2 and the north half of lot 11, range 2 in Barnston.
The file contains primary source information about Jonathan Slater (ca 1816-1889) and his wife, Rebecca Walker (ca. 1818-1890) in Barnston from 1881 to 1896. It consists of an invoice addressed to Jonathan Slater, register extracts for their marriage and deaths, and Rebecca Walker's will. Rebecca Anglisa Walker was the daughter of Joseph Walker and Mary McCaw. Together, Jonathan Slater and Rebecca Walker had at least six children: Frances, Mary, Jane, Jonathan Henry, Emma, and Retinah.
