Biographical history
The Lennoxville Farmers' Club operated during the first half of the 20th century. Bringing together the farmers of Lennoxville and the surrounding areas, the Club enabled members to obtain better prices for agricultural products. It organized annual suppers, contests, agricultural fairs, dances, and so on for its members. Beginning in 1921, the Club held brief seminars during the winter. These activities were aimed at promoting and developing agricultural activities in the region. In addition, the entrance fees supplemented contributions by members and governments in funding the club's activities. The Lennoxville Farmers' Club was run by an annually elected board of directors.
