        History

        He was born at Pointe Fortune, P. Q. - Attended McGill University receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1913 and was appointed as an Agronomist. He enlisted for service in the artillery in World War I. He . was twice wounded and was awarded the Military Cross. After returning home from the War he came to Knowlton to live as an agronomist for Brome County. He retired in 1958. He had married Mollie (Pettes) Mason, widow of Guy Mason. Their son, Austin served in W.W.II and was pronounced to have been shot down as he failed to return from a mission flight.
