    The file contains information about various servicemen from the militia and the World Wars. It consists of a certificate of discharge from the active militia for Private Jules Damour dated 9 April 1892; a copy of a service record for Private Clarence C. Owen who served in South Africa with the Canadian Special Service Forces in 1899-1900; documents related to a request for exemption to the Military Service Act for Charles St. Antoine Rider from Lake Megantic, dated 1917-1919; a copy of the names of the honour roll for the Nichols Chemical Company at Capelton; a record of equipment issued to Jean Luc Rodigue of the Regiment Dorchetster and Beauce B Company in 1938; a letter to Cpl P.E. Couture regarding the St-Jean-Baptiste celebrations at Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce from J.A. Dupuis in 1939; a letter to George S. Heatherington, caretaker of the armoury at Cowansville, from Lt-Col S.V. Cooke in 1940 regarding his potential enlistment in the military as well as other correspondence; empherma from Bombardier George S. Heatherington, including information on Christmas care packages received from the Soldiers Comfort Club of Cowansville and Sweetsburg and leave and ration cards; a certificate of military qualification for 2nd Lt. Lloyd B. Bliss; documents and two photographs of Murray Johnson, RCAF; reprinted letters from the Boer War which appeared in Townships Sun, February 1986; a letter from Barbara McGibbon about Frederick Grant; and a commemoration service programme for Bertram D. Lyon at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Sherbrooke on 26 March 1986.
