Roland William Racicot was born on December 21, 1919 in Sherbrooke hospital and was the only son of W.D Racicot and Irma Racicot. He attended Sherbrooke Highschool and Stanstead College. He went on to become a Sergeant in the Royal Canadian Airforce. On July 5th 1943, he married Ruby May Baldwin in Vancouver, BC. Together they had 4 children: Peter, Sharon, Stephen, and Janice. Roland Racicot spent the late 1940s in Ajax, Ontario where he attended university to study law. His family eventually returned to Quebec in the early 1950s where Mr. Racicot became a partner at the Foster, Hannen, Watt, Leggat and Colby law firm in Montreal. In 1958, he set up an office in Coaticook to conduct his own law practice. He passed away in 1984 and is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery in Magog.
