Scope and content
The subseries contains information on T. Arthur Hawkes, known as Art, from about 1914 to 1939 in New York, Minnesota, Massachusetts, New Brunswick, and New Jersey. It consists of postcards, greeting cards, and letters written by Art to Harold Ferrin Baldwin, Mead Haskell Baldwin, W.K. Baldwin, Lill Ferrin Baldwin, and Ruth May Baldwin. Most of the letters are addressed to Harold and are primarily personal in nature, discussing family and travel, with some discussion of work and war. The subseries also includes a letter from Art's wife, Theresa, and one from Theresa's sister informing Harold and Ruth of Art's death in 1939.
