    This group of posters were graciously donated from the personal collection of Herbert Whittaker. Mr. Whittaker was an entertainment and theatre critic for the Montreal Gazette from 1933-1949 and Canada’s premier theatre critic from 1949 to 1949 and Canada’s premier theatre critic from 1949 to 1976 for the Toronto Globe and Mail. In addition to his many reviews and essays on Canadian and international theater, Mr. Whittaker has designed and directed countless amateur and professional theatre production in Montreal. Knowlton and Toronto. Such actors as Christopher Plummer, Donald Sutherland, Jackie Burroughs, R.H. Thompson and innumerable others have appeared in his productions. Mr. Whittaker had had a life-long friendship with theatre in Canada;
